During the fifty-five years since Northwest’s founding, technology and technical education have changed dramatically, but our primary purpose of offering high demand workforce training where it is needed to those who need it is still the same as it has always been. As a result, Northwest enjoys a nationwide reputation for dispensing quality technical education training. Take the time to look closely at the training programs we offer. Some will likely be unfamiliar to you, but that’s not unusual. Learning more about different career fields is to your advantage. There may be a golden opportunity just waiting for you that you simply haven’t been aware of before. Employers can benefit from our website as well. By submitting their training needs, we gain valuable information about designing short term customized classes to fit both employer and student needs. In addition to the thousands of other lives I’ve seen changed by technical education in my twenty-seven years in it, I can speak from personal experience as well. You see, I began my career in our system in 1979 not as an employee, but as a student. The machine shop training I received was the most realistic, rewarding and enjoying educational experience of my life—one that has enriched my life ever since.
